Intimate North Carolina Wedding at The North Carolina Arboretum

Bride and groom joyfully running down the aisle after their first kiss at the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville, NC, surrounded by lush gardens.

I’ve loved all the micro weddings I’ve photographed in North Carolina this year. Chris and Ally’s small, intimate wedding at The North Carolina Arboretum and Grove Park Inn was one of my favorites!

Why Chris & Ally Chose an Intimate Wedding

Chris and Ally realized that planning a large wedding with all their friends and family wasn’t the right fit. Instead, they embraced the idea of a small ceremony with their closest family in a location they loved. Their intimate Asheville wedding was everything they dreamed of.

Getting Ready at the Omni Grove Park Inn

A Relaxed Start to the Day

Chris and Ally chose to stay at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, where they got ready together on the morning of their wedding. This made for a stress-free and relaxed start to the day, allowing them to fully enjoy each moment leading up to the ceremony.

The First Look: A Private, Emotional Moment

Before heading to the ceremony, Chris and Ally shared a sweet and emotional first look at the Grove Park Inn. This quiet moment allowed them to take everything in before walking down the aisle together.

A Beautiful Ceremony at The North Carolina Arboretum

Heritage Gardens: The Perfect Ceremony Backdrop

The Heritage Gardens at The North Carolina Arboretum provided the perfect setting for their ceremony. Surrounded by lush greenery and seasonal blooms, Chris and Ally exchanged vows in an intimate, heartfelt ceremony.

Why The Arboretum is a Dream Wedding Venue

The gardens are always in bloom, providing natural beauty everywhere. There are multiple scenic backdrops for wedding portraits. The peaceful and private atmosphere makes it perfect for intimate weddings.

The Best Moment of Their Wedding Day

When I asked Chris and Ally about their favorite moment, they said:

“Our favorite part had to be after the ceremony and photos. Everyone had walked to their car, and Ally and I stayed back. We sat on a bench and soaked in the glory that was our big day, and the beautiful setting that The North Carolina Arboretum provided.”

I always encourage my couples to take a step back and soak in their wedding day, and I loved that Chris and Ally made time to do just that.
